National Defence Academy (NDA) Exam

The National Defence Academy (NDA) is also an entity of the Indian Armed Force. The NDA is Joint Services Academy of Armed force of India where the cadets of three services are trained together. After the completion of training , NDA cadets goes to their respective Service Academy. The National Defence Academy is one of the best tri-service (Army, the Navy and the Air Force ) Academy of its kind in the world located at Khadakwasla near Pune, Maharashtra.

National Defence Academy (NDA) Exam


Candidates are selected for the National Defence Academy via written test held twise a year. The Union Public Service Commission conducts the NDA Exam for admission of candidates to the Army, Navy and Air Force wings of the National Defence Academy. The candidates who clears the written NDA exam are called for Interview and medical test. At last phase of NDA Exam Only 300 cadets/candidates are accepted to the Academy in which 195 cadets are accepted for Army , 66 for the Air Force, 39 for the Navy.

Eligibility Criteria For National Defence Academy (NDA)


All candidates must have a minimum of any of the following educational qualifications.
For Army Wing of NDA : Candidate should have passed 12th class or its equivalent.
For Air Force and Naval Wings of NDA : Candidate should have passed 12th class with Physics and Mathematics or its equivalent.

Age Limit For National Defence Academy (NDA)

Candidate age should be between 16 and 19 years.

Exam Pattern For National Defence Academy (NDA)


NDA/NA Exam comprises of two paper and both the papers are of objective type questions. There is negative mark for every wrong answers.The Paper A is English paper which has 50 questions and the paper B is General Ability Test paper which has 100 General Knowledge questions.
